This is for the Beehives, If Beyonce is so big as all of you claim and she going to snatch wigs mainly Rihanna this year. Why do yall compare her to Rihanna instead of Taylor Swift or Lady Gaga? Is it a black thing? Because Rihanna is mainly Pop and Beyonce is R & B. So if you are going to compare albums and singles against the best this year. have yall realize that Taylor Swift sales is double of Rihannas sales with her current album. Rihanna is the second woman with the highest album and single sales WW this year. But if Beyonce is all what yall say she is, why not put her stats against Taylor Swift, unless its a black thing.
I know Sam post about all genres on this site, I don’t know why Beyonce fans always bragging about beyonce and putting her against Rihanna. But after I checked Beyonce stats, Beyonce won more Grammys, but in reality Rihanna won more overall awards including international awards. Most of Beyonce awards are urban awards.When I look at Beyonce solo career, she is huge in the US but around the world she is equal to Alicia Keys, Usher because only her third album ( I am Sasha fierce)went platinum in many countries. Her other albums she only went platinum maybe in 4 to 5 countries.Rihanna has been dominating WW album and single sales for years. Her fans bragging about selling out concert in Europe, When Usher and many others can sell out concerts overseas also. Over the past two years Adele, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga have the top WW sales, I think Rihanna is maybe 4 out of all those ladies. So I don’t get all the Rihanna and Beyonce conparison, it has to be a black thing because I never see Beyonce fans attack Taylor Swift or Lady Gaga.

I actually believe its the black fans, who are putting all the black artist against each other. Its like in the Urban community act like they can only have one artist that they worship. That is why Ciara, Keri Hilson, Monica, Keisha Coles, Fantasia and Brandy will not sell a gold album again. Because the urban community is really only supporting Beyonce. Rihanna is fine because she is Pop and she appeals to all race. There is more Beyonce vs Rihanna and Rihanna vs Ciara, Beyonce vs Brandy, Keisha coles, Fantasia on the black site than any mainstream blogs. I rarely see Taylor Swift vs Katy Perry. When Taylor, Katy, Lady Gaga do photo shoots, you never have twitter blowing up comparing the two against each other like most of the urban fans did with GQ with Beyonce and Rihanna. You never have mainstream media writing articles about Beyonce vs Rihanna. You may see mainstream compare who wore it best in clothing with other artist, but I rarely see them putting Katy photo shoot against Taylor. This is Black history month so I feel like venting about what is on my mind.

In music it is more of a popularity than the talent and music. Ciara has some good songs, but she will not get the support in the urban community because now its about who is the baddest and not about I really love that song. Its like fans act like they can’t like Ciara and Beyonce at the same time. They have to choOse and compare who they are going to spend their dollars on based on who is more popular. I like when people used to love a hot song that came out and people supported based on the song, not because you are more popular. I am a huge CB fan, but I love some of Usher, Miguel, Frank Ocean,Trey songz, and older male artist R Kelly, Kem, Tyrese Maxwell. If the song is hot I will buy it. I am a Rihanna fan but I will buy songs by Kelly Rowland, Ciara, Keri hilson, Katy Perry, Mariah, Lady Gaga. I what actually see today if Rihanna and Beyonce is the most popular black artist and really the only artist who gets coverage from mainstream media and blogs and urban. In the male department- Chris Brown, Usher is really the only two who gets mainstream coverage all the time. Frank and Miguel really don’t get a whole lot of coverage unless awards time. My point is that the urban community isn’t giving the other black artist any shine at all. On the radio they talk more about Beyonce, Rihanna, Chris Brown all the time and I am only talking about r & B not rap. Of course they are blowing Beyonce up on the US radio in conversation and promotion, but they really promote the other women. They don’t give the other R & B female artist a chance to compete, because they give all the hype and promotion to one artist and they want to know why R & B is dying.
